TCG Loves Supporting Dixon!
Updated: Mar 31
We don't just keep stormwater clean, we are also really involved in our community! From our scholarship program to the Dixon May Fair Parade, we try to support our community as much as possible.
DHS STEM Scholarships:
Since 2018 we have given a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) scholarship to graduating High School seniors who plan on pursuing a degree in those fields. STEM is such a challenging industry and with it being so important to us, it only makes sense for us to support youth in the field. They are the next generation after all!
Lending a hand to Dixon Family Services:
DFS helps families in our area with improving the quality of life for all families and individuals in the community. Over this past year, our marketing team has taken over the social media posts for Dixon Family services. The owner is a VERY busy woman, so we are glad to take some of her load off of her. We also always donate to their holiday food drive where all donations help stock their food pantry. Our employees donate a ton of food for Dixon Family Services' drive that goes out to families in need during the Holiday season!
Dixon Mayfair & Softball:
In 2019 TCG sponsored a girls softball team and the Tully family coached! The team was fittingly named the Rain Drops (how cute is that). The kids team and the employees here at Tully Group then participated in the Dixon May Fair Parade followed by Rick and Robin's 1931 Ford Model A. We have participated in the Parade for several years and hope to be able to again as soon as it is back up and running!
Robin's father, Rob actually restored this car with his dad! They've built several over the years.
Along with the Parade that year, we purchased two sheep and a goat from the May Fair Auction. This year we purchased the steer raised by our former employee, Jared Tanaka. This is a tradition we've carried out for several years. We can't wait to do this again, we love to see the hard work of these youth come to a success in the end!!
Bocce Ball to Support The Special Olympics:
In 2019 we also attended a Bocce Ball Tournament to benefit the Special Olympics. It was hosted in Napa and we sponsored a lane!
The tournament had to be altered in 2020 for obvious reasons, so we did a COVID-safe in-house tournament! We still wanted to support the Special Olympics so we were ecstatic when we were contacted to participate in the event from home!
A Few Honorable Mentions:
We often make donations to local organizations like Dixon Family Services and Dixon High School Grad Night, as well as volunteer for Solano RCD. During the Holidays we try to give back to our community as much as we can so we sign up for our office to be a drop off location for Toys 4 Tots. We also like participating in the Kiwanis Festival of Trees.
